This live lesson covers not only the Single Paradiddle, but an easier way to play it faster, and more efficient!
This technique might be common knowledge. It happened through practice years ago. I was trying to pay close attention to how my hands felt going to faster tempos and what I might could change to make it work for me. Instead of playing each individual tap stroke I thought why not just drop the two “RR” and the two “LL” as bounces, or diddles. This completely takes a stroke out of the equation and replaces it with a “drop”/”pickup”.
